Tied Bids - The result

Results of the 'Tied bids' ballot

Over the summer the FL introduced a new feature to the Sealed Bids (the way we manage or fortnightly transfer window) in that they would automatically pick a winner of a tied bid.

This appeared a very good idea saving us time, energy and much nashing of teeth over getting further bids in on a Friday morning... so it was decided to give it a whirl.

There were 3 options as to who would win a tied bid... earliest bid, lowest in the League and random.

After a vote on the web site over the summer we decided to use the earliest bid option for the 1st transfer window under the belief that the person who put the earliest bid in on the 'tied' player would win him. However it turned out that the winner was to be the manager who placed his final bid for any player earliest. It was agreed that maybe this wasn't what we wanted.

So we had another vote (a final one).  This time 57% of votes cast were for the Lowest in the League, 42% for random and no votes for earliest bid or go back to the old way.

So for this season the winner of a tied bid will be the manager lowest in the League... good news for Julian, now all he needs to do is bid occasionally!!!!!!
